Most "remediated" PDFs pass an automated checker and still fail the person the law exists for. We have rebuilt government forms that a vendor had already remediated, that still could not be completed with a screen reader at all. Our standard is different: the document is done when it passes veraPDF and the Adobe Acrobat accessibility checker, and a blind tester has read and completed it end to end.
